types of organizations supported

The Conn Memorial Foundation supports nonprofit social service and educational programs that serve children and youth in Hillsborough County. The Foundation does not support Individuals, Political Campaigns / Lobbying, or Health/Medical-related organizations.

At Risk

The Conn Memorial Foundation defines “at-risk” as children and families that are economically and environmentally disadvantaged.  The majority of our funded population is at risk.

Although the majority of our investments are targeting younger children and families we have some partnerships that are serving youth in transition and young adults.

  • Children 0-12
  • Youth 13-17
  • Young Adult 18-25
  • Adult 18+

Economically Disadvantaged

In Hillsborough County, many organizations use the criteria of free and reduced lunch at school to segment their population economically.  The Foundation has chosen to use these criteria as well in an effort to simplify segmentation of our target population.
