types of organizations supported

At Risk

The Conn Foundation defines “at-risk” as children and families that are economically and environmentally disadvantaged.  The majority of our funded population is at risk.

Although the majority of our investments are targeting younger children and families we have some partnerships that are serving youth in transition and young adults.

  • Children 0-12
  • Youth 13-17
  • Young Adult 18-25
  • Adult 18+

Economically Disadvantaged

In Hillsborough County, many of our agencies use the criteria of free & reduced lunch at school to segment their population economically.  The Foundation has chosen to use these criteria as well in an effort to simplify segmentation of our target population for our agencies.
