Capacity Building

Agency networking

Informal coaching is provided to our partner agencies by the Foundation staff, board and community partners. We seek to be a resource and connector enabling organizations to grow and benefit from our expertise and longevity in the nonprofit sector.

agency training

Each grant cycle the Foundation provides training to all applicants regarding empowerment evaluation as well as financial statement preparation and preparing for site visits.   In an attempt to provide strength to our agencies we have partnered with other local funding organizations to adopt a uniform system of evaluation called Empowerment Evaluation that focuses on outcome measures and learning rather than reporting and compliance.  A logic model is the central tool in creating both the template for action as well as evaluation.  An Evaluation Report will include a review of the program’s data on outcomes with special attention to comparing actual outcomes to outcome targets. Information on Empowerment Evaluation can be found in the attached document: Empowerment Evaluation Overview

Nonprofit Leadership Center

Conn Memorial Foundation has a deep commitment to providing the nonprofit sector with opportunities to build their capacity. To that end we provide funding and leadership to the Nonprofit Leadership Center of Tampa Bay (NLCTB) and encourage all the nonprofits in the Tampa Bay area to take advantage of this important resource. nonprofitleadershipcenter.org
